As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.
Rays phenom Theo Gillen jumps into the Top Five overall
The helium surrounding Gillen is no longer speculation—it’s a data-driven explosion. Fully settled in Double-A and showcasing true plus multi-category upside, Gillen is a top-five foundational asset.
Since joining Double-A Montgomery, the Southern League hasn’t slowed him down one bit. Across his overall 2026 minor league slate, Gillen is slashing .326/.431/.566 with 20 home runs, 37 stolen bases, and an OPS over 1.000.
Over the last three weeks alone, he’s posted a multi-homer game (July 29), a walk-off bomb (July 24), and back-to-back long balls this week. Oh, and he took a quick break in July to represent Tampa Bay at the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game.
Braves’ Eric Hartman soars into the Top 15 with his 20/30 season
Hartman (pictured above) has put together a career year in 2026, forcing a recent promotion to Double-A Columbus after tearing up High-A Rome. Across 94 games at High-A, the 20-year-old Canadian outfielder slashed a dynamic .273/.364/.525 while pounding out 24 home runs, 64 RBIs, and 38 stolen bases. Combining a 70-grade sprint speed with a newly unlocked 20+ home run pop, Hartman’s rare 20/30 production in the upper-minor pipeline makes him one of the most electric rising outfielders in dynasty fantasy baseball.
Josiah Ragsdale traded to the Cardinals, leaps up inside the Top 75
Ragsdale was the centerpiece prospect acquired by St. Louis in their MLB Trade Deadline deal that sent Dustin May and JoJo Romero to Milwaukee. The 22-year-old outfielder has put up MVP-caliber numbers across High-A and Double-A in 2026, slashing .319/.444/.590 with 20 home runs and 31 stolen bases in 317 at-bats. After riding a 46-game on-base streak and a torrid 18-homer tear into late July, he was immediately assigned to Double-A Springfield to anchor the Cardinals’ next wave of outfield depth.
