A quick look at the Top Three
1. Luis De La Torre (SP/RP, San Francisco Giants)
The Verdict: Pure, unadulterated dominance on the mound.
De La Torre was a literal cheat code at High-A this past week. The 22-year-old left-handed weapon turned in 6 brilliant innings of 1-hit, scoreless baseball. He absolutely carved up opposing hitters to the tune of a 12-to-1 K-BB ratio and an impossible 0.33 WHIP. De La Torre’s high-octane stuff and sudden surge in pristine command make him an incredibly high-upside target for managers hunting for the next elite pitching prospect.
2. Jose Suarez (OF, St. Louis Cardinals)
The Verdict: A dynamic, multi-category fantasy superstar in the making.
Suarez put together the loud, multi-tool week that fantasy managers dream about. Over 20 at-bats at High-A, the 21-year-old outfielder collected 9 hits—including 3 home runs and 10 RBIs—while flashing elite, aggressive wheels to swipe a massive 5 stolen bases. Finishing the week with a superb 1.472 OPS, Suarez is rapidly building a profile as an impact power-speed cornerstone for the Cardinals’ system.
3. Lazaro Montes (OF, Seattle Mariners)
The Verdict: Elite, towering raw power that is officially Double-A proof.
The Mariners’ 21-year-old outfield phenom continues to look like an absolute force of nature at the plate. Montes absolutely obliterated Double-A pitching over the last seven days, mashing 5 home runs and driving in 10 runs while logging a phenomenal 1.523 OPS. His signature elite exit velocities are translating into massive in-game power production, firmly cementing his 2027 ETA and top-tier prospect status.
The “Zero-ER” Club: Pitching Masterclasses
While De La Torre led the charge, a handful of elite arms across the minor leagues completely locked down the opposition, refusing to let a single earned run cross the plate:
- Quinn Mathews (STL): The Cardinals’ 25-year-old southpaw looked completely ready for his mid-2026 MLB projection, spinning 6 frames of 1-hit ball at Triple-A with a 9-to-0 K-BB ratio and a tiny 0.33 WHIP.
- Zach Root (LAD): Root was a surgeon for the Dodgers’ High-A affiliate, working 7 brilliant frames of 1-hit ball, racking up 9 strikeouts with zero walks and a minuscule 0.14 WHIP.
- Kade Anderson (SEA): Maintaining his stellar form from May, Anderson fired 5 scoreless, 1-hit innings at Double-A with 9 strikeouts and zero walks (0.20 WHIP).
- Javier Perez (HOU): Perez turned in a massive workhorse performance in Single-A, eating up 7 scoreless innings while allowing just 2 hits and punching out 10 batters with no free passes.
Notable Risers & Run Producers
- The High-A Power Surges: Tre Richardson III (STL) put on a spectacular power display, clubbing 5 home runs with a 1.794 OPS, while Victor Figueroa (BAL) and Cade McGee (STL) each brought heavy thunder by mashing 4 home runs apiece.
- Elite Run Production: 19-year-old Gavin Fien (WAS) was a literal run-manufacturing machine in Single-A, going 9-for-18 to drive in a jaw-dropping 15 RBIs on the week.
- The PCL Walk Machines: Charlie Condon (COL) and Zac Veen (COL) continued to show exceptional plate discipline in Triple-A, with Condon drawing 5 walks to fuel a 1.663 OPS week.
- Upper-Level Speed Demons: Shortstop Yordany De Los Santos (PIT) generated chaos on the basepaths at High-A, swiping an incredible 6 stolen bases while chipping in 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. Jefferson Rojas (CHC) and Jaison Chourio (CLE) also weaponized their legs at Double-A, securing 4 stolen bases each.
