As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

Red shortstop Edwin Arroyo rises steadily into the Top 30

The switch-hitting shortstop fell off many lists coming into the year due to an underwhelming, post-injury 2025 campaign. But 2026 has brought a completely redesigned stance. Arroyo is starting his hands higher, matching his bat angle to his swing plane, and driving weight from his back leg. The mechanical tweak unlocked a monstrous stint at Triple-A Louisville, where he slashed .323/.383/.562 with 11 home runs and a 143 wRC+. Following Elly De La Cruz’s hamstring injury, the Reds promoted Arroyo on June 1. He already collected his first MLB hit and stands an excellent chance of forcing a permanent platoon or everyday role at second base even when the left side of the dirt gets healthy.

Angels pitcher Walbert Urena surges up to No. 113 with MLB impact

For dynasty managers tracking immediate production, Ureña has turned into a major focal point. After cracking the Angels’ Opening Day roster out of spring training, the 22-year-old Dominican right-hander has quietly been exceptionally stable in the big-league rotation. Through 10 appearances (8 starts), he has pitched to a sparkling 2.44 ERA over 44.1 innings with 41 strikeouts. While his 1.38 WHIP and 25 walks suggest there is still some high-wire act to iron out, his ability to suppress hard contact has given the Angels exactly what they wanted when they elected to keep developing him as a true starter. He is a priority target in deeper dynasty loops.

Brewers third baseman Andrew Fischer climbs up near the Top 50

The Brewers’ 2025 first-round selection out of Tennessee is quickly establishing himself as one of the most intriguing pure sluggers in the minor leagues. Playing for High-A Wisconsin, the lefty third baseman turned the month of May into a personal home run derby, launching 10 long balls during the month. He now carries a heavy .275//.411/.625 slash line with 15 home runs through 44 games. The strikeout rate remains a bit high (69 Ks in 160 at-bats), but his elite bat speed and lift optimization make him a true 25-to-30 homer threat at the hot corner.

Pirates shortstop Wyatt Sanford slugs his way up near the Top 100

Sanford entered the year with just five career minor league home runs to his name. It took him only 43 games at High-A Greensboro to completely alter his power profile. On May 26, Sanford delivered a spectacular three-homer performance against Hub City, headlining a game that featured 13 combined long balls. Slicing through the South Atlantic League, he’s now up to 10 home runs and 17 stolen bases. Combining a 1.65 GO/AO groundball-to-flyball ratio with sudden pop makes him one of the highest-upside movers of the summer.
