As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

Braves’ Eric Hartman jumps inside the Top 25

If you haven’t bought stock in Hartman (pictured above) yet, the window has officially slammed shut. The 19-year-old outfielder is authored one of the loudest breakout campaigns in recent memory, punctuated by blasting his 13th home run of the season this week. Hartman combines a highly physical frame with premium athleticism and an explosive swing that is giving him some of the highest statistical upside in the minors. His transition to full-season ball has been seamless, and he crashes the Top 25 today with room to climb even higher.

Pirates future ace Seth Hernandez nears the Top 10

Hernandez is rapidly cementing himself as a true frontline dynasty ace. Currently handling High-A hitters with ease, the 20-year-old righty recently matched a career-high by racking up nine strikeouts over five dominant innings. Boasting a 70-grade changeup that completely neutralizes both lefties and righties, along with a mid-to-upper 90s fastball, Hernandez moves up to No. 11 and is knocking loudly on the door of the top 10.

Reds’ Edwin Arroyo is slugging his way up into the Top 50

Talk about “sneaky power.” Arroyo has absolutely torn the cover off the ball in May for Triple-A Louisville, tallying 10 home runs and 33 RBIs in just 46 games. For context, his previous career-high was 13 homers across an entire 119-game season in High-A. Arroyo currently leads the International League in hits (65) and total bases (113) while flashing a scarily complete 1.012 OPS. He’s looking less like a glove-first shortstop and more like a true five-category fantasy star.

Nationals’ Devin Fitz-Gerald is flying up near the Top 50

When the Nationals acquired Fitz-Gerald in the offseason blockbusting MacKenzie Gore trade, there were high expectations—but few expected this much pop, this quickly. Fully recovered from the shoulder injury that hindered his 2025 campaign, Fitz-Gerald has been a human cheat code for High-A Wilmington. Highlighted by a multi-HR game and a recent grand slam, he is slashing a spectacular .325/.451/.650 with eight home runs. He moves up to No. 59 and is firmly in the Top 100 conversation across the industry.

More Notable Risers

  • Gabriel Gonzalez, OF, Minnesota Twins (Up to No. 143): Gonzalez got the surprise call to the big leagues Friday, flying to Boston to make his MLB debut while filling in on the paternity list. While he started the year ice-cold, he completely turned it around over his last 14 games, putting up a .296/.409/.407 slash line with 11 walks. The raw power is converting to games, and getting that first taste of the majors vaults him up our board.
  • Jhostynxon Garcia, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates (Up to No. 134): “The Password” is back in the big leagues! After an incredibly hot stretch at Triple-A to bounce back from an early-season slump, the Pirates recalled Garcia to the majors on May 19. While his high-chase, high-whiff profile brings plenty of dynamic risk, his distinct speed-and-power blend gives him massive fantasy utility when he connects.
  • Karson Milbrandt, SP, Miami Marlins (Up to No. 100): Milbrandt squeezes his way into the top 100 on the back of electric stuff that has been missing bats at a ridiculous clip. His multi-inning relief and starting appearances—including an eye-opening spring performance where he struck out six over three hitless innings against Astros prospects—have shown that the swing-and-miss profile is very real.
