We update our fantasy baseball Top 700 Prospect Rankings weekly, and we keep track of the prospects who are rising the quickest to let fantasy baseball owners know about some prospects who are gaining momentum before you even hear about them elsewhere. This list comes out in tandem with the updated Top 700 fantasy baseball prospects list.

1. Kendry Rojas, SP, Blue Jays — Up 46.3% in the rankings

In his first two Double-A starts in the last 14 days, Rojas (pictured above) has been nothing short of dominant. On July 4, he struck out 4 in the first inning before settling in, and two weeks later on July 10, he tossed five scoreless innings, fanning 10 and issuing zero walks—earning Eastern League Pitcher of the Week honors. One scout summed it up: “Rojas appears intent on making up for lost time,” with a mid-90s fastball, slider, and changeup that are all coming together. Between the recovery from an abdominal injury and rapid command gains, his trajectory continues to skyrocket.

2. Spencer Jones, OF, Yankees — Up 45.1% in the rankings

Jones is on a power tear at Triple-A Scranton. In the last two weeks, he launched his 7th homer in 14 Triple-A games, bringing his season total to 24 homers. His OPS in that stretch topped 1.315, and he’s proven he can mash consistently at the highest minor-league level—a major boost to his fantasy and MLB outlook.

3. Troy Melton, SP, Tigers — Up 36.0% in the rankings

Melton has been brutalizing Triple-A hitters lately. On July 11, he went 5.2 innings with zero earned runs and eight K’s and has struck out 48 batters in his first 32 IP since being promoted on June 5. With season totals near 93 strikeouts in 71.1 innings between AA and AAA, Melton is being viewed as a legitimate mid-season call-up option or bullpen arm for Detroit.
