1. Elliot Lascelles, SS, Padres — Single-A, Age 18
The top Canadian position player in this year’s draft, Lascelles went in the second round and signed for about $2.8 million, the biggest bonus of any Canadian pick. Since landing at Single-A Lake Elsinore in August he has hit around .320 with elite in-zone contact and a perfect start on the bases, and Baseball America tabbed his debut as the best among San Diego’s prospects. The big questions are power and whether he stays at shortstop.

2. Sebastian Walcott, SS, Rangers — AAA, Age 20
After an internal-brace UCL procedure cost him the first half, Walcott returned in mid-July and hit .322 with nine homers and 11 steals in 37 games at Double-A Frisco before moving up to Triple-A Round Rock in mid-September. He also went 4-for-11 with a homer and four steals in Frisco’s playoff series. He’s now the No. 1 prospect in our rankings and could push for an early 2027 MLB look.

3. Kane Kepley, OF, Cubs — AA, Age 22
Kepley led all minor leaguers in stolen bases (70), walks (120) and runs scored (127) while splitting the year between High-A South Bend and Double-A Knoxville. A former Liberty walk-on with 60-grade speed and a strikeout rate around 15 percent, he cooled off late at Double-A, but the on-base and running skills are loud.

4. Leo Bernal, C, Cardinals — MLB, Age 22
Bernal has hit .299 with four home runs and 17 RBI through his first 18 big-league games, the most RBI through that stretch by a Cardinals rookie since 1954. St. Louis believes the switch-hitter can be an everyday, workhorse catcher, though he’ll share a crowded catching picture with Ivan Herrera and top prospect Rainiel Rodriguez.

5. Mitch Voit, 2B, Mets — AA, Age 21
The Mets’ system Player of the Year after a first full season, Voit hit .273/.371/.431 with 13 home runs and 45 steals in 105 games, then raised his game after a late-July promotion to Double-A Binghamton, where he put up a .947 OPS in 29 games. A 2025 first-round pick (No. 38 overall) out of Michigan, he has played mostly shortstop but profiles long-term at second base.

6. Trey Ebel, SS, Brewers — Single-A, Age 17
The Brewers’ No. 25 overall pick this summer out of Corona (Calif.) High School, Ebel is the son of Dodgers third-base coach Dino Ebel and the younger brother of Brewers prospect Brady Ebel. He hit .417/.496/.796 with nine homers in 31 games as a senior, and scouts like his contact skills, bat speed and natural shortstop instincts, though some project an eventual move to third.

7. Zion Rose, OF, Royals — High-A, Age 21
The No. 6 overall pick out of Louisville, Rose hit .417 with a strikeout rate under 9 percent in his final college season and stole 24 bases in 36 games. In his first pro stint at High-A Quad Cities he hit his first homer off the foul pole, collected a walk-off hit in his fifth game, and made contact on roughly 78 percent of his swings. He’s now getting more at-bats in the Arizona Fall League.

8. Hayden Alvarez, OF, Angels — High-A, Age 19
A 6-foot-3 Dominican outfielder who ranked as the Angels’ No. 3 prospect at midseason, Alvarez hit .296/.396/.479 with 11 homers and 46 steals before and after a promotion to High-A Tri-City, where he’s among the youngest hitters in the league. He was also the first overall pick in this year’s Dominican winter league rookie draft.

9. Justin Gonzales, OF, Red Sox — AA, Age 19
The 6-foot-5 slugger hit .271 with 17 homers, 58 RBI and 11 steals in 89 games at High-A Greenville, nearly doubling his career home run total by lifting the ball more, and finished his High-A stint with a two-homer game. He was promoted to Double-A Portland in mid-August and is widely viewed as Boston’s No. 2 prospect behind Franklin Arias.

10. Theo Gillen, 2B/SS, Rays — AA, Age 20
The South Atlantic League MVP hit .342/.449/.589 with 12 homers and 28 steals in 57 games at High-A Bowling Green, then kept producing at Double-A Montgomery (.288, 10 HR, 16 SB in 59 games). He wrapped up the season with 22 homers and 44 steals, a true five-tool profile.
