Compton (No. 135, up from No. 189) has been the hottest bat in the entire minors over the last month. The Arizona State product (pictured above) and 2025 second-rounder set a Double-A Pensacola franchise record with 12 home runs in July alone — the most by any Marlins Double-A hitter in a single month in over two decades — and has now gone deep 15 times in 32 games there. Across all levels this season he’s slashing .277/.426/.596 with 30 home runs, 18 stolen bases, and a 164 wRC+, tops among all qualified Marlins minor leaguers. A former two-way college player who had Tommy John surgery before his freshman year, Compton has simplified his approach at the plate and is now squarely on the radar for anyone building a deep dynasty roster.
Yankees’ Yostin Pena rockets into the Top 150 as an 18-year-old phenom
Pena (No. 150, up from No. 272) is the definition of a prospect gaining helium in real time. The 18-year-old outfielder skipped the complex league entirely and jumped straight to Single-A Tampa after a torrid Dominican Summer League stretch, and he hasn’t slowed down since — he’s slashing .275/.385/.425 with 9 home runs, 47 RBI, and 34 stolen bases, and recently strung together a two-homer, six-RBI game. His exit velocities have scouts buzzing, with a 90th-percentile mark near 108 mph and a peak of over 113 mph. The swing decisions are still a work in progress, but at his age and with that kind of raw thump, he’s one of the more exciting stash-and-forget names in deep dynasty formats right now.
Notable Faller: Rays’ Brody Hopkins slides after landing on the injured list
Hopkins (No. 162, down from No. 130) has fallen out of our Top 150 this week after being sidelined with an injury at Double-A Montgomery. It’s a tough break for one of the more electric arms in the system — last season he posted a 2.72 ERA with 141 strikeouts against just 60 walks over 116 innings, and he earned a big-league camp invite this spring on the strength of that stuff. With him now out of action, his path to a 2026 debut is on pause, and dynasty owners who rostered him for the stretch run will need to monitor his recovery timeline closely before expecting him back on a mound.
