Let’s dive into this week’s top 10 performers:
⚾ 1. Jordan Lawlar – SS, ARI (AAA)
Arizona’s top prospect is showing exactly why he’s one of the most hyped names in the game. Lawlar (pictured above) torched Triple-A pitching with a 1.480 OPS, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, 4 stolen bases, and a 9-for-22 performance at the plate. Mix in a few walks and minimal strikeouts, and it’s clear: he’s knocking on the big-league door.
⚾ 2. Kelvin Hidalgo – SS/3B, COL (Low-A)
Hidalgo was a one-man wrecking crew this week, showcasing power, speed, and patience. He slashed 10-for-24 with 2 HR, 11 RBIs, and a jaw-dropping 9 stolen bases. His 1.267 OPS is proof that he’s doing everything right at the dish.
⚾ 3. David Davalillo – SP, TEX (High-A)
Davalillo’s start was nothing short of perfection. In 5 scoreless innings, he struck out 9 without allowing a hit or a walk—good for a pristine 0.00 ERA and 0.00 WHIP. He’s dominating High-A and could earn a promotion sooner rather than later.
⚾ 4. Dylan Campbell – OF, PHI (High-A)
Campbell crushed it this week—literally. With 3 home runs, 11 RBIs, and a 1.298 OPS, the Phillies outfielder is flashing serious pop. Add in 2 stolen bases, and you’ve got a legit five-tool breakout candidate.
⚾ 5. Braden Montgomery – OF, CHW (Low-A)
The White Sox prospect did a bit of everything: 2 HR, 6 RBIs, 3 SB, and a whopping 6 walks en route to a 1.265 OPS. Montgomery’s plate discipline and switch-hitting power make him a must-watch.
⚾ 6. Jace Bohrofen – OF, TOR (AA)
Bohrofen launched 4 bombs, drove in 9, and posted a 1.201 OPS at the Double-A level. The power is very real, and if he continues this pace, he’ll climb the Blue Jays’ system quickly.
⚾ 7. Andy Garriola – OF, CHC (High-A)
Garriola showed off his slugging chops with 4 homers, 8 RBIs, and a 1.250 OPS in just 24 at-bats. While he didn’t walk once, the bat-to-ball skills and raw strength were front and center.
⚾ 8. Zach Thornton – SP, NYM (High-A)
Thornton flirted with perfection, allowing just 1 hit across 6 shutout innings while striking out 8 and walking none. His 0.17 WHIP speaks volumes about his command and stuff.
⚾ 9. Carson Whisenhunt – SP, SF (AAA)
Whisenhunt continues to bolster his big-league case. Over 6 dominant innings, he struck out 9 and allowed just 1 hit and 1 walk. With a 0.33 WHIP, he’s showing he’s ready for San Francisco soon.
⚾ 10. Rosman Verdugo – SS, SD (High-A)
Verdugo hammered 4 home runs, tallied 8 RBIs, and logged a 1.225 OPS. He only walked once and struck out 9 times, but when he connects, the ball jumps—big-time.
