Andre Jackson was named to the All-Star Futures Game roster last week and with Trevor Bauer in trouble for alleged sexual assault, the Dodgers prospect is on the radar for a spot in the L.A. rotation as Jackson makes his first appearance in the RotoProspects Top 300 at #295. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound right-hander is performing well at Double-A Tulsa, posting a 3.91 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 62-14 K-BB in 46 IP this season. The 370th pick in the 2017 draft out of Utah has a plus fastball as well as an above-average change and a solid curve.

Jesse Franklin V is putting up dazzling numbers in High-A for the Braves with an .895 OPS, 11 homers and 13 steals and enters the rankings at #296. The 97th pick in last year’s draft out of Michigan has a good mix of power and speed. The Braves have multiple long-term slots available in the outfield alongside Ronald Acuna Jr., so keep an eye on whether Franklin can stake a claim to one of them possible as early as next season.

Spencer Steer has been on fire in July with a 1.268 OPS and three homers to raise his season line to .284/.411/.543 with 14 homers and 4 steals in Double-A for the Twins, shooting him to #297 in the updated rankings. The third-round pick out of Oregon has solid hit and speed tools, but what is supposed to be below-average power is blossoming with the Wichita Wind Surge.

Stuart Fairchild had been on fire since coming back from a hamstring injury at the end of June, going 11-for-26 with five homers and five walks in seven games for Triple-A Reno, then got called up by the Diamondbacks and entering the rankings at #300. The 6-foot-, 205-pound outfielder was drafted in the second round in 2017 by the Reds out of Wake Forest and came over to Arizona in the Archie Bradley trade. Fairchild normally features speed as his best tool, but not having attempted a steal since his return from the hamstring he’s instead showing developing power. With the D’backs entering rebuilding mode and Kole Calhoun’s return from hamstring surgery hitting a snag, Fairchild could get a long look this summer in Arizona.
