As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates and storylines surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

The Top Five

1. Roman Anthony (OF, BOS)

Anthony continues to solidify his case as the No. 1 prospect in fantasy. His elite OBP profile and developing power are translating beautifully in Triple-A, where he has a 1.018 OPS through the first 15 games.

2. Sebastian Walcott (SS, TEX)

Walcott is hanging tough at Double-A despite being just 19. He’s showing the elite bat speed and developing game power that made him such a buzzy name last summer. He’s currently riding a five-game hitting streak and has at least one hit in all but two of his first 11 games so far.

3. Kristian Campbell (2B, BOS)

Now a fixture in Boston’s everyday lineup, Campbell is already making noise in redraft leagues. His batting line of .297.395/.500 through his first 19 MLB games has been impressive.

4. Walker Jenkins (OF, MIN)

Still recovering from his IL stint, but there’s zero drop in stock. Jenkins’ bat-to-ball skills are pristine, and he has the physicality to tap into more power. As long as he returns healthy, he remains one of the most bankable long-term bats in the minors.

5. Matt Shaw (2B/3B, CHC)

The Cubs optioned Shaw back to Triple-A this week after a rough first taste of the majors, where he slashed just .172/.294/.241 with a 66 wRC+ and minimal hard contact. While he looked playable at third base – a relatively new spot for him – the bat simply wasn’t quite ready yet. But he remains an elite long-term prospect.

Fastest Risers to Know

Kameron Misner (OF, TB) – Jumped 189 spots to No. 437 after making the most of his MLB debut. Misner (pictured above) is off to a scorching start in his second stint with Tampa Bay, taking full advantage of a depleted Rays outfield. The 27-year-old has slashed .400/.442/.733 with three homers and 10 RBIs in 16 games, including a two-homer, three-RBI night against former college teammate Tanner Houck. One of those blasts traveled 431 feet at 106.9 mph off the bat. Misner also made MLB history on Opening Day, becoming the first player ever to hit a walk-off home run for his first career homer. With an OPS north of 1.200 and confidence brimming, he’s forcing his way into the Rays’ plans.

J.T. Ginn (SP, OAK) – Leapt 180 spots to No. 158 after he got the call to Oakland this week to take over as the No. 5 starter after Joey Estes flamed out with a 15.43 ERA over two starts. Ginn earned the opportunity with dominant early results at Triple-A, posting a 1.64 ERA across 11 innings. More impressively, he struck out a ridiculous 51.4% of batters faced while keeping his usual elite groundball rate (56.3%) intact. It’s a small sample, but the stuff looks sharper than ever.

Ben Williamson (3B, SEA) – Rose 108 spots to No. 330 after he made a strong impression in his MLB debut this week, lining a 105.8 mph single through the left side in his first career at-bat after falling behind 0-2. He showed poise in later plate appearances too, working deep counts and putting together solid at-bats even against tough arms like Nick Lodolo and Alexis Díaz. Though known more for his glove—arguably the best in Seattle’s system—Williamson held his own offensively and should see consistent playing time, especially while Jorge Polanco remains limited.

Logan Henderson (SP, MIL) – Up to No. 156 after being called up to the majors. With their rotation battered by injuries and their team ERA hovering near the bottom of the league, the Brewers turned to the 23-year-old for a lift. He was recalled from Triple-A Nashville after posting a 3.21 ERA with 24 strikeouts and 10 walks over 14 innings. Henderson struggled in his season debut, but has since delivered 10 straight scoreless frames—including a dominant, no-hit, eight-strikeout outing in his most recent start.

Caleb Durbin (2B, MIL) – Jumps to No. 127 after being called up to the majors this week. After a strong spring, he was among the final cuts from Brewers camp and didn’t hide his disappointment. The 25-year-old turned it into motivation—and he didn’t stay in Triple-A long. With third base production lagging badly, Milwaukee called up Durbin and immediately installed him as the everyday guy at the hot corner. Acquired from the Yankees in the Devin Williams trade, Durbin brings a contact-heavy bat and solid glove, and he’s already earned trust from manager Pat Murphy, who said, “I see him playing every day.” He should get a legit shot to run with the job.

Kevin Alcantara (OF, CHC) – Back in the Top 100 (No. 104), and rightfully so. Alcantara broke out in a big way this week, going 4-for-6 with two doubles, a homer, and five RBI for Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday—his first long ball of the season. It capped off a strong start to the year, as he’s now slashing .271/.368/.417 with four doubles, two steals, and a solid 8:20 BB:K through 13 games. Chicago’s outfield depth might delay his return to the big leagues, but Alcantara is firmly in the mix for a midseason call-up.
