A quick look at the Top Three
1. Kyle Lodise, SS, White Sox (High-A Winston-Salem, age 21)
Lodise was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week after a jaw-dropping performance: 2.057 OPS with three home runs, a triple, six RBIs, five walks, and three stolen bases in just 14 at-bats—going 8-for-14 on the week. A 2025 third-round pick out of Georgia Tech, he was considered a high-floor bat, but this week’s flare across High-A has elevated his profile.
Week stats: 2.057 OPS, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 3 SB, 8-for-14, 5 BB, 0 SO
2. Charlie Condon, OF/1B, Rockies (Double-A Hartford, age 22)
Colorado’s No. 2 prospect continued his August tear, slashing 1.605 OPS, belting four homers, and delivering consistent impact at the plate for the Yard Goats. SI’s latest report lauds his turnaround from early-season injury setbacks, noting that his hard work and daily hunger “mirror the trajectory of former teammate Kyle Karros,” who quickly ascended through the system.
Week stats: 1.605 OPS, 4 HR, 1 SB, 7-for-19, 4 BB, 5 SO
3. Alfredo Duno, C, Reds (Single-A Daytona, age 18)
Duno was a force in the batter’s box this week, posting a 2.017 OPS, launching three homers, and driving in six runs on a 6-for-12 effort with just one strikeout—a remarkable feat for an 18-year-old catcher. His shot at the plate plus flawless approach signals advanced offensive feel for his age and position.
Week stats: 2.017 OPS, 3 HR, 6 RBI, 6-for-12, 3 BB, 1 SO
