As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates and storylines surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.
The Top Five
1. Roman Anthony, OF, BOS (AAA)
ETA: Early 2025 | Future Value: 60 FV
Boston’s top prospect is making a little noise early in Triple-A with a .776 OPS. Despite an outfield logjam at the MLB level, Anthony’s power and poise are putting real pressure on the Red Sox front office. A trade might be the only thing standing between him and Fenway.
2. Sebastian Walcott, SS, TEX (AA)
ETA: Late 2025 | Future Value: 60 FV
Although he’s off to a slow start in Double-A, Walcott is doing more than just climbing prospect boards — he’s putting the Bahamas on the baseball map. The 19-year-old is carrying big expectations, and he’s owning it: “I’m trying to dominate every day and remain consistent.” At this pace, he might be the face of a new international wave.
3. Walker Jenkins, OF, MIN (AA – IL)
ETA: Late 2025 | Future Value: 65 FV
Currently sidelined, but Jenkins’ sky-high hit tool (70 grade) and all-around game still make him one of the most exciting prospects in the sport. The Twins are hoping his return will be as explosive as his ascent through the system.
4. Jasson Dominguez, OF, NYY (MLB)
ETA: Now | Future Value: 60 FV
Already in the bigs but off to a slow start (8-for-39, 1 HR in his first 11 games of 2025), The Martian continues to be one of the game’s most electric young talents. With power, speed, and Yankee Stadium as his playground, his ceiling remains immense — if he can stay healthy and consistent.
5. Kristian Campbell, 2B, BOS (MLB)
ETA: Now | Future Value: 60 FV
Campbell has started his MLB career in a big way, hitting .318/.426/.545 with two home runs and a stolen base in his first 13 games. He’s athletic, controls the zone, and may wind up as a long-term fixture in Boston’s lineup alongside Marcelo Mayer and, eventually, Roman Anthony.
Angels’ Kyren Paris makes a big leap
The biggest story in the top 30? Kyren Paris (pictured above) catapulting up the list all the way to No. 16. Now with the big league club, Paris has exploded out of the gate in 2025, rewriting expectations almost overnight. On Wednesday night, he crushed two more home runs — and neither was even his hardest-hit ball of the game. He’s now slashing a ridiculous .393/.485/1.000 with five homers and four stolen bases in 11 games, which is stunning considering this is the same guy who had a .378 OPS in 36 MLB games prior to this season and a sub-.280 SLG in the minors last year.
A’s slugger Nick Kurtz is ridiculously hot
After a monster week at Triple-A, Nick Kurtz climbs into the top 15. The 22-year-old first baseman went 5-for-11 with a homer and a 1.447 OPS, showing off his signature patience and effortless raw power. Kurtz looks MLB-ready with the bat, and if Oakland’s offense sputters, he could be one of the first reinforcements called upon.
A note on injuries
A few names remain high despite injury-related absences, including Walker Jenkins (No. 3), Bryce Eldridge (No. 19), and Samuel Basallo (No. 12). Their long-term outlooks haven’t changed, but their progress will be worth watching as they get healthy and ramp up.
