Welcome to this week’s Big Movers in the weekly update of the RotoProspects Top 500.

The No. 1 riser is James Triantos, a 20-year-old Double-A second baseman of the Cubs who is scorching hot in the Arizona Fall League with a 1.253 OPS to go with 1 homer, 6 steals, 4 triples and 11 RBIs in 12 games. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder was a second-round pick in 2021 out of a Virginia high school and played most of this season for High-A South Bend with an .753 OPS, 4 dingers and 16 bags in 80 games. Triantos went 4-for-12 in 3 games for Double-A Tennessee to finish the season. He has a career .284 average in the minors which supports his 60-grade hit tool, but his power is still a work in progress. If the power can pick up, Triantos has us dreaming of an above-average table setter with a .280 average, 15 homers and 25 steals. Triantos blasts up 102 spots to No. 249.

Next up is Emiliano Teodo, a 20-year-old High-A right-handed pitcher of the Rangers who is dominating out of the bullpen in the Arizona Fall League with 12 Ks in 6 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk. The 6-foot-1, 165-pounder signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2020. Teodo posted a 4.52 ERA with 84 Ks in 61.2 innings mostly as a starter for Hickory this past season. Teodo is regularly putting up triple-digits on his fastball velocity as a reliever in the AFL. The Rangers will likely start next season with Teodo back as a starter in Double-A, but they’re finding out that he could switch to the bullpen and help out in Texas in the second half. Teodo skyrockets up 80 spots to No. 395

Jase Bowen, a 23-year-old Double-A outfielder of the Pirates who has a 1.069 OPS with 2 homers and 13 RBIs in 14 AFL games after combining for a .794 OPS with 23 dingers and 26 steals in A+/AA, so he shoots up 62 spots to No. 401.

Orion Kerkering, a 22-year-old Phillies right-handed pitcher who has posted a 2.25 ERA in five appearances out of the bullpen in the MLB playoffs after blasting through 4 levels to Philadelphia this season, so he vaults up 37 spots to No. 245.

Gabriel Rincones Jr., a 22-year-old High-A outfielder of the Phillies who has been a top performer in the Arizona Fall League with a 1.085 OPS, 2 homers and 4 steals in 12 games, so he jumps up 36 spots to No. 452.

Benny Montgmery, a 21-year-old High-A outfielder of the Rockies who has put up a .945 OPS with one homer and 6 steals in the Arizona Fall League, so he shoots up 25 spots to No. 382.

Dominic Keegan, a 23-year-old High-A catcher of the Rays who has a 1.344 OPS with 3 homers and 9 RBIs in 7 Arizona Fall League games, so he rises up 20 spots to No. 375.

Damiano Palmegiani, a 23-year-old Triple-A third baseman of the Blue Jays who has a .832 OPS with 2 homers in the Arizona Fall League after combining for a .842 OPS with 23 homers in AA/AAA, leading to a 19-spot jump to No. 258.

Jakob Marsee, a 22-year-old Double-A outfielder of the Padres who has a 1.227 OPS with 2 homers and 10 steals in 12 Arizona Fall League games after combining for a .931 OPS with 23 dingers and 22 steals over 3 levels, so he surges up 18 spots to No. 182.

Prelander Berroa, a 23-year-old Double-A right-handed pitcher of the Mariners who dominated after moving to the bullpen with a 1.69 ERA and 67 Ks in 42.2 innings, leading to a 14-spot jump to No. 349.

The biggest faller of the week is Royber Salinas, a 22-year-old Double-A right-handed pitcher of the A’s who has struggled in the AFL with a 7.36 ERA and 6 walks in 7.1 innings, and he drops 13 spots to No. 342.

The biggest riser inside the Top 100 is Kyle Manzardo, a 23-year-old Triple-A first baseman of the Guardians who is leading the AFL with 5 homers to go with a 1.032 OPS and 13 RBIs in 11 games, and he jumps up 5 spots to No. 33.

The biggest faller of the week inside the Top 100 is Lawrence Butler, a 23-year-old A’s outfielder who finished the season in a 12-for-64 slump drop his triple-slash to .211/.240/.341 in 123 ABs for Oakland – he drops 5 spots to No. 73.
