We update our fantasy baseball Top 700 Prospect Rankings weekly, and we keep track of the prospects who are rising the quickest to let fantasy baseball owners know about some prospects who are gaining momentum before you even hear about them elsewhere. This list comes out in tandem with the updated Top 700 fantasy baseball prospects list.
1. Max Williams, OF, Marlins — AA, Age 22
Williams continues building on a strong developmental season at Double-A, adding to the helium he’s carried since being drafted. He tops this week’s list on the strength of a genuinely standout stretch.
2. Leo Bernal, C, Cardinals — MLB, Age 22
Bernal (pictured above) continues to climb after a strong debut stretch behind the plate for St. Louis, adding to the momentum from his first weeks in the majors.
3. Brandon Clarke, LHP, Cardinals — AA, Age 23
Few arms in the minors throw as hard as Clarke, who became just the second left-handed pitcher in the pitch-tracking era to top 103 mph earlier this year. Injuries — including Tommy John surgery in high school, blisters, and thoracic issues — have limited him to a trickle of innings since being drafted, but when he’s on the mound the results have been electric: a dominant four-inning, seven-strikeout Double-A debut this month that touched 102 mph, with 12 whiffs on just 26 swings. Acquired from Boston in the Sonny Gray trade, Clarke is a classic high-risk, high-reward arm who’s finally stringing together the health to show what the stuff can do.
4. Miguel Ullola, RHP, Astros — MLB, Age 24
Ullola has reached the majors this year and continues to climb after establishing himself in Houston’s pitching staff, building on the momentum from his first taste of the big leagues.
5. Tai Peete, SS, Cardinals — AA, Age 20
Peete has had a true roller-coaster 2026, battling injuries for much of the year after arriving from Seattle in the offseason Brendan Donovan trade. When healthy, he’s been outstanding, hitting a career-best .296/.359/.549 on his way to Double-A and saving his best for last — a 5-for-5 performance with a homer, four RBI, and a stolen base in a Texas League Finals playoff game.
6. Robert Calaz, OF, Rockies — High-A, Age 20
A $1.7 million international signee, Calaz remains one of the more toolsy outfielders in a talented Rockies system, continuing to climb at High-A on the strength of his power-speed combination.
7. Connor Wietgrefe, LHP, Pirates — AAA, Age 24
A lefty in a system without much left-handed starting depth coming up, Wietgrefe led all Pirates minor leaguers with 151 innings pitched this year and posted nine starts of six-plus innings at Triple-A Indianapolis, where he ranked in the 97th percentile in expected weighted on-base average allowed. He’s positioning himself for a real shot at Pittsburgh’s rotation as soon as next year.
8. Zach Ehrhard, OF, Dodgers — AAA, Age 23
Ehrhard has quietly been one of the most productive hitters in the high minors all year, slashing .291/.400/.472 with a career-high 20 home runs across 138 games at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He capped the season with a monster Triple-A playoff run, going 9-for-17 with three doubles and a homer.
9. Ethan Anderson, C/1B, Orioles — AAA, Age 22
Everything clicked for Anderson starting in June, and he finished the year having out-homered every Orioles farmhand except Wehiwa Aloy and Aron Estrada. The switch-hitter has hit well from both sides of the plate and capped his season with a strong cup of coffee at Triple-A Norfolk — he looks like the favorite to share catching duties in Baltimore as soon as next season.
10. Carlos Jorge, OF, Reds — MLB, Age 22
Jorge has reached the majors and continues building momentum in Cincinnati, climbing after his first extended look against big-league pitching.
