As we roll out our final regular-season update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

Nolan McLean cracks the Top 10 after an electrifying Mets debut

In what may prove to be one of the most meteoric ascents in recent memory, McLean (pictured above) slid into No. 10 overall after an MLB debut that turned heads.

On August 16, he tossed 5⅓ scoreless innings, punched out eight, and surrendered just two hits, earning a win in his first big-league start. He closed the 2025 regular season with a 5-1 record, 2.06 ERA, 57 strikeouts in 48.0 innings, and a 1.04 WHIP. His dominance continued as he became the first Mets starter to begin a career with a sub-1.00 ERA through his first three outings, accumulating 21 Ks in that span.

Before reaching the majors, he was impressive in the minors: 8-5, 2.45 ERA over 113.2 innings, with 127 strikeouts and a 1.13 WHIP.

Carter Jensen moves into the Top 30 after big season and debut with the Royals

Jensen’s ranking now celebrates not just his minor-league surge but also his arrival in the big leagues. During his minor-league season, Jensen’s bat showed advanced patience and pop, splitting time in Double-A and Triple-A and finishing with a robust OPS in his final stop (1.051 over 43 games in AAA).

His MLB debut came on September 3, and he had three multi-hit games in the final month, which included a two-homer game on Sept. 16 against the Mariners. He finished with a .941 OPS in his first 20 MLB games, with 3 HRs and 13 RBIs.

Trey Yesavage breaks into the Top 75 with Blue Jays showing huge confidence in him

Yesavage’s climb into Top 75 is one of the most impressive in recent seasons. Across four minor league levels in 2025, he threw 98.0 innings with a 3.12 ERA, struck out 160 batters, walked just 41, and carried a 0.97 WHIP.

On September 15, he made his MLB debut versus the Rays, striking out 9 over 5 innings while allowing one run on three hits—setting a new Blue Jays franchise record for most strikeouts in a debut. His last outing on Sept. 27 was five scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He was also named the Game 2 starter for Toronto in the ALDS, a signal of trust in his capabilities even in a playoff environment.

Rays’ Ty Johnson jumps into the Top 125 after a breakout season

Johnson’s strong 2025 showed he may be knocking on rotation doors. In Double-A, he logged 110.1 innings with a 2.61 ERA, and showcased a slider that generated impressive whiff numbers. Although he has yet to debut in MLB, evaluators now see him as a near-term rotation piece.
