As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

The Heat Wave: Pitchers forcing the issue with dominant springs

Didier Fuentes, RHP, Atlanta Braves (Up to No. 57): Fuentes (pictured above) is no longer just a “sleeper”—he’s a siren. He has been arguably the most dominant pitcher in all of Spring Training, tossing 9.0 hitless innings with 17 strikeouts and zero walks. The most staggering part? He has retired 26 of the last 27 batters he’s faced. Armed with a 97–99 mph four-seamer and a new “gyro” slider that is baffling MLB veterans, Fuentes has jumped nearly 80 spots. With injuries to the Braves’ rotation depth, he is now a legitimate candidate for a mid-season (or sooner) impact.

Carlos Lagrange, RHP, New York Yankees (Up to No. 53) The “Silly Velocity” tour continues. Lagrange recently fired four scoreless innings against the Red Sox, hitting 100.9 mph and trailing only Chase Burns for the hardest pitch of the day. While the Yankees reassigned him to minor league camp on March 19 to continue building his endurance as a starter, Aaron Boone admitted it was a “difficult decision.” His 0.66 ERA and 0.73 WHIP this spring suggest he’s ready for Triple-A Scranton and could be the first arm called up when the Bronx needs a spark.

The Physical Marvels: Bats on the rise

Justin Gonzales, OF, Boston Red Sox (Up to No. 110): The hype train has left the station. Measured at a massive 6-foot-6 and 277 pounds, Gonzales continues to draw Aaron Judge comparisons—and for good reason. He recently flashed a 117.3 mph exit velocity on a single, the second-hardest tracked ball of the spring. When you pair that with a 98.1 mph laser from right field, you have a physical specimen that is simply too talented to ignore. He’s climbed into the fringe of the Top 100 as his hit tool begins to catch up to his legendary raw power.

Henry Bolte, OF, Oakland Athletics (Inside Top 150): Bolte is proving his 2025 power-speed breakout (9 HR, 44 SB) wasn’t a fluke. He’s been a force this spring, hitting .409 with three home runs and three steals before being reassigned to Triple-A Las Vegas. Manager Dave Roberts even singled him out for his performance against the Dodgers. The strikeout risk remains, but the “loud” tools are translating to elite production against advanced competition.

Michael Arroyo, SS/2B, Seattle Mariners (Up to No. 81): Arroyo has been a “barrel machine” this spring, leading all prospects in barrel rate at one point. Even more impressive is his 23.5% walk rate across Spring Training and WBC play. While there is chatter about a move to the outfield to accelerate his path, his advanced plate discipline and ability to punish velocity have him knocking on the door of the Top 75.
