As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.

TJ Rumfield in the mix at first base for Rockies, soars up inside the Top 250

Rumfield (pictured above) is putting significant pressure on the Rockies’ front office. After an .825 OPS in Triple-A last year, he’s been “rhythmic” in the box this spring, hitting four home runs and nearly .500 against high-velocity heaters (94+ mph). While he’s competing with Charlie Condon for future reps, Rumfield’s elite ability to handle Major League velocity and his career-best slugging metrics have him trending toward a 2026 role in Coors Field.

George Klassen jumps up inside the Top 120, could make the Angels’ rotation

Acquired from the Phillies, Klassen has been a revelation in camp. This week, he carved through the Mariners’ lineup with four strikeouts in three innings, followed by a scoreless three-inning stint against the Giants. His fastball is sitting 97.8 mph, and his improved changeup development has scouts believing he can stick in the rotation. With Alek Manoah struggling, Klassen is in a dead heat for the final spot in the Angels’ Opening Day rotation.

White Sox RP Tanner McDougal up to No. 114 with impressive spring numbers

McDougal is the talk of Glendale after a dominant stretch where he’s touched 100.1 mph with his heater. Coming off a 2025 where he struck out 136 batters in 113.3 innings, he has looked even sharper this spring, posting a 2.25 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over 8.0 innings. The White Sox staff has smoothed out his mechanics, and the “head whack” in his delivery is gone, replaced by a devastating high-spin curveball and a 110 Stuff+ rating. He’s moving toward a mid-season MLB debut.

Red Sox slugger Justin Gonzales turning heads, climbing up inside the Top 150

Standing 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, Gonzales is a “freak athlete” who literally towers over his teammates. He hit the second-hardest tracked ball of Spring Training this year—a 117.3 mph line drive single. While he still has a high groundball rate (57%), his 98.1 mph throw from right field to third base showcased 70-grade arm strength. He’s currently a high-variance “monster” who could explode if he continues to lift the ball more consistently.
