1. Kyle Harrison, SP, Giants (Triple-A Sacramento)

Harrison can be flat-out unhittable when he’s on, and this was one of those weeks. The 21-year-old left-hander started out with 4 hitless innings on Tuesday with 9 strikeouts and just one walk and finished the week with 3 2/3 more scoreless innings and one hit allowed with 5 Ks and 3 walks. For the week, Harrison allowed just one hit in 7 2/3 innings against Oklahoma City with 14 strikeouts. Harrison brought a 4.73 ERA with a 1.65 WHIP and 27 walks in 26 2/3 innings into the week. He has his season ERA down to 3.67 and a few more starts like these last two could earn him the call to San Francisco.

2. Emmet Sheehan, SP, Dodgers (Double-A Tulsa)

Sheehan has been a fixture on the Hot Prospects Report, this time combining for 18 strikeouts in 10 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run against Northwest Arkansas. The 23-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 1.64 with a 0.80 WHIP and a 76-to-18 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 44 innings. Sheehan may be next in the pecking order to get a chance in the Dodgers rotation next time there’s an opportunity now that fellow prospects Gavin Stone and Bobby Miller are getting a look.

3. James Wood, OF, Nationals (Double-A Harrisburg)

Wood was so good last week in High-A that he earned a Sunday promotion to Double-A. The 6-foot-6 20-year-old went 9-for-19 with 3 homers and 2 steals in 5 games for Wilmington before going 1-for-4 with an RBI in his Double-A debut. Wood has a combined .960 OPS with 8 homers and 8 steals.

4. Alberto Rodriguez, OF, Mariners (High-A Everett)

Rodriguez went on a power binge last week, belting 6 homers with a 1.276 slugging percentage. The 22-year-old is repeating High-A after posting a .732 OPS last year, but this hot streak has him up to a 1.072 OPS with 8 homers this season, so he will be moving back into our next weekly-updated RotoProspects Top 500 Rankings.

5. Jacob Amaya, SS, Marlins (Triple-A Jacksonville)

Amaya has an MLB-ready glove, but his bat looked ready for Miami last week when the 24-year-old went 11-for-20 with 4 homers. Amaya is up to an .845 OPS with 7 homers on the season.

6. Jacob Misiorowski, SP, Brewers (Low-A Carolina)

Misiorowski dazzled with 5 hitless innings, allowing just one baserunner on a hit by pitch and racking up 9 strikeouts on Thursday. The 6-foot-7 21-year-old right-hander has a 3.18 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP and 41 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings.

7. Elly De La Cruz, SS, Reds (Triple-A Louisville)

De La Cruz continued his domination of the International League by going 9-for-21 with 3 homers and 2 steals last week. The 21-year-old has a 1.039 OPS with 10 homers and 9 steals in 32 games since returning from a strained hamstring.

8. Maddux Bruns, SP, Dodgers (High-A Great Lakes)

Bruns tossed matching 4-inning scoreless outings against Peoria last week, combining for 11 strikeouts and just 2 walks. The 20-year-old left-hander had issued 8 walks in his first 7 2/3 High-A innings. He has a combined 1.96 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings between Low- and High-A.

9. Wikelman Gonzalez, SP, Red Sox (High-A Greenville)

Gonzalez racked up 12 strikeouts with no walks on Saturday, allowing just 1 unearned run. The 21-year-old right-hander entered the week with a 7.43 ERA and 28 walks in 13 innings.

10. Aaron Palensky, OF, Yankees (High-A Hudson Valley)

Palensky went 13-for-21 with 5 doubles, a triple, 2 homers and 3 steals last week. He may be a 24-year-old repeating a level, but we can’t ignore the degree of domination – 1.178 OPS, 12 homers, 10 steals – so he will be moving into our next weekly-updated RotoProspects Top 500 Rankings.
