As we roll out our latest update to the RotoProspects Top 700 Prospect fantasy baseball rankings, let’s dive into the key updates surrounding the top-ranked prospects this week.
Cardinals’ Tai Peete soars up near the Top 150 with a dynamic finish
Peete (pictured above, No. 162, up from No. 196) has had a true roller-coaster 2026, battling injuries (including a concussion) for much of the year after arriving from Seattle in the offseason Brendan Donovan trade. When healthy, though, he’s been outstanding, hitting a career-best .296/.359/.549 on his way to Double-A and saving his best for last — a 5-for-5 performance with a homer, four RBI, and a stolen base in a Texas League Finals playoff game. The power-speed tool set the Cardinals coveted in the trade is clearly real, and he’ll head to the Arizona Fall League next to keep building on it.
Dodgers’ Zach Ehrhard climbs into the Top 175 as a steady riser
Ehrhard (No. 170, up from No. 204) has quietly been one of the most productive hitters in the high minors all year, slashing .291/.400/.472 with a career-high 20 home runs across 138 games at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He capped the season with a monster Triple-A playoff run, going 9-for-17 with three doubles and a homer. Acquired from the Red Sox in last year’s Dustin May trade, Ehrhard doesn’t have the loudest tools on this list, but his contact skills and on-base ability make him a high-floor big-league-ready outfielder.
Red Sox’s Henry Godbout pushes into the Top 200
Godbout (No. 198, up from No. 220) has been a hit-first, contact-oriented prospect since Boston took him as a Compensatory Round pick last year, and the early returns have been strong — a .341/.473/.477 pro debut and a home run in both the Futures at Fenway and Spring Breakout showcase games this spring. A strong hit tool and excellent strike-zone control are the carrying skills here; added bat speed this year suggests the power could keep ticking up as he climbs the ladder.
